The Faculty of Psychology is one of the faculties at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan. It was established on December 19th, 1994 based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 102/D/0/1994. As an institution that organizes Psychology education in Higher Education, the Faculty of Psychology of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan always keeps up with the latest development of psychology and follows the applicable education administration regulations, both through the government and psychology association institutions.
Since its establishment, the Faculty of Psychology has been accredited four times by BAN-PT with the following status:

• In 2000, the faculty was accredited with “B” from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) on June 13th, 2000 with the Decree Number: 012/BAN-PT/Ak-IV/VI/2000.
• In 2006, the faculty was accredited with “A” from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) on February 16th, 2006 with the Decree Number: 032/BAN-PT/Ak-IX/S1/II/2006.
• In 2012, the faculty was accredited with “B” from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) on October 18th, 2012 with the Decree Number: 035/BAN-PT/Ak-XV/Sl/X/2012.
• In 2017, the faculty was accredited with “A” from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) with the Decree Number: 3675/SK/BAN-PT/AKRED/S/X/2017.

Currently, the Faculty of Psychology manages Psychology Undergraduate Study Program (S1). As one of the faculties in UAD, the Faculty of Psychology has a vision that is in line with the vision, missions, goals and objectives of the university.
