To become a center of the development of Community based Psychology that is integrated with Islamic values and internationally recognized

Psychology Faculty Mission

  1. Producing graduates who are noble and capable of handling community problems with the perspective of community psychology imbued with Islamic values.
  2. Developing education, research, and community service (Tri Dharma) oriented to community empowerment at the local, national, and international levels.
  3. Building an academic atmosphere based on values: respect for diversity, concern for the environment, collaboration, and empowerment.
  4. Facilitating the development of human resources into personal professionals and noble character.
  5. Developing faculty management that is transparent and accountable.

Goals of the Faculty of Psychology

The SP-Psy aims at producing professional psychology graduates with Islamic personalities and producing quality scientific products in the field of psychology and contributing to supporting a healthy and prosperous society. Specifically, the objectives of SP-Psy are as follows:

  1. Understand basic knowledge and observation techniques objectively, to interpret human behavior according to psychological principles and Islamic values, both individuals and groups.
  2. Get to know a variety of psychological measurements and calculate the functions and benefits.
  3. Able to show sensitivity to biopsychosocial and moral values and conflicts in the Indonesian context.
  4. Able to conduct research in the field of Psychology.
  5. Ready to live and carry out a code of ethics in scientific research and the profession.
  6. Ready to implement the concepts of wisdom that are Islamic, Muhammadiyah, and Humanist.
  7. Have understanding and analysis of sharpness in the framework of sevice and problem solving with psychological and Islamic pespectives.

Mission of the Psychology Study Program

  1. Producing graduates who are noble and capable of handling community problems with the perspective of community psychology imbued with Islamic values.
  2. Developing education, research, and community service (Tri Dharma) oriented to community empowerment at the local, national, and international levels with Islamic values and philosophy of Muhammadiyah.
  3. Developing learning methods on innovative student center learning based on problem-solving, stimulating, and encouraging lifelong learners.
  4. Establish cooperation with domestic and foreign agencies
